For the 19th time in the club’s 20 seasons in MLS, the New England Revolution will open their season on the road as they’ll face the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field on Mar. 8.

The match will be nationally broadcast on FOX Sports 1 at 9:30pm ET. Seattle is the first of three Revolution match-ups that were announced today as Major League Soccer and its national broadcast partners unveiled the lineup of home openers for the League’s 20th season.

A week after facing the Supporters’ Shield winners, the Revolution will face expansion side New York City FC in their home opener at Yankee Stadium on Mar. 15. The match will be the first MLS contest played at the New York Yankees’ home field, which has hosted friendlies between foreign clubs in recent years.

The local XI will finally set foot on their home grounds on Mar. 21, when they host the Montreal Impact at Gillette Stadium. The Revolution have not lost a home opener since 2006.

The only time the Revolution have opened the season at home came in 2008, when they hosted MLS Cup nemesis Houston Dynamo.

The complete 34-game regular-season schedule for the 2015 MLS campaign will be announced at a later date. The 2015 season will mark the first year of an eight-year landmark television and media rights partnerships with ESPN, FOX Sports and Univision networks.
