Revs Add Preseason Date in Tucson

The New England Revolution added one more game to next year’s preseason slate, with a friendly against the 2012 Supporters’ Shield-winning San Jose Earthquakes lined up for Jan. 29.

The game is set to kick off at 6pm local time, and will be played at Kino North, Field #5. The matchup is part of the The Desert Friendlies presented by FC Tucson, a series of preseason matches hosted by the Arizona-based PDL club, which will run from Jan. 29 through Feb. 8. The Friendlies will lead up to the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup, which kicks off on Feb. 13.

To date, New England has a total of five preseason matches scheduled for 2013, including four Desert Diamond Cup contests.

In 2012, the club played a total of seven preseason matches, and went 6-0-1.
