Revs Announce Preseason Plans

The Revolution will kick off the 2016 preseason on Jan. 22, and will partake in the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup tournament for the fifth year in a row after they announced their preseason plans on Tuesday.

The club’s first training session will take place at Gillette Stadium on Jan. 22, and will train locally before departing for Casa Grande, Ariz. on Jan. 26. The Revolution will play a preseason contest against the Houston Dynamo on Feb. 6 before returning the region on Feb. 7.

A second trip to the Copper State will put the Revolution in Tuscon for the Desert Diamond Cup, which will be held from Feb. 17 through Feb. 27. The tournament will also feature the Colorado Rapids, Real Salt Lake and Sporting Kansas City, as well as USL club Swope Park Rangers and PDL side FC Tucson.

A complete schedule of Revolution preseason games in Casa Grande and Tucson, as well as the 2016 MLS regular-season schedule, will be announced at a later date.

For those counting, the start of the preseason is 59 days away.
