Revolution center back Jose Goncalves, who previously said he had a decision to make about 2016, was among 14 players who had contract options picked up by the club on Wednesday.

In addition to Goncalves, the Revolution picked up the options on goalkeeper Brad Knighton, defenders Darrius Barnes, Andrew Farrell, Donnie Smith, Chris Tierney, and London Woodberry, midfielders Teal Bunbury, Scott Caldwell, Diego Fagundez, Lee Nguyen, Kelyn Rowe, and forwards Charlie Davies and Sean Okoli.

Midfielder Daigo Kobayashi, who was out of contract going into the 2016 season, signed a new contract with the club.

While the club will bring back a number of familiar faces, it will also say goodbye to others after defenders Kevin Alston and Jeremy Hall had their options declined. 2014 first-round pick Steve Neumann also had his option declined, as did midfielders Timi Mulgrew and Tyler Rudy.

Midfielders Andy Dorman and Jermaine Jones are currently out of contract for the 2016 season.

Goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth, midfielder Zachary Herivaux, and forward Juan Agudelo all signed new contracts during the 2015 season, and will remain on board for 2016.

In sum, the Revolution currently have 18 players on its roster.

Per Major League Soccer rules, the Revolution have until Thursday, Dec. 10 to re-sign any re-entry draft eligible players, including players whose options were not exercised.
